Drippy Corn is our sterilized popcorn grain spawn, prepared with added sugar and moisture so it colonizes fast and stays hydrated through the grow. Each 5 lb bag is made fresh in our commercial facility and tested before it ships.

Add your own liquid culture (sold separately) through the injection port.

Details

  • Fast-colonizing sterilized grain, ready to inoculate out of the box
  • 0.2 micron filter patch for gas exchange without letting contaminants in
  • Self-healing injection port, so no flow hood or still air box is required
  • 3 mil thick bag that resists tears and contamination
  • Works with a wide range of cultivated mushroom varieties

How to use

  1. Wipe your hands, the front of the bag and the injection port with 70% isopropyl alcohol.
  2. Inject your liquid culture through the injection port (port included, culture is not).
  3. Keep the bag somewhere dark at 75–80°F and let the bottom layer colonize for about 3 weeks.
  4. Gently break up and mix the grain, then compact the contents.
  5. Let the mycelium finish colonizing the rest of the bag, about 3 more weeks.
  6. Fruit in the bag, or use the spawn to start a monotub or bulk substrate.
